The mission of the Outdoor Learning Center at Timberline Camp is to provide learning opportunities and character development activities through the medium of wilderness based programming. It is our desire to provide educators with a resource that creatively enhances their classroom efforts. Students will benefit cognitively, physically, emotionally, and spiritually in an atmosphere where learning is fun and rewarding. Our program is more than an outdoor education field trip. The Outdoor Learning Center provides exciting classes and activities. Educators searching to supplement the classroom experience with experiential programming will discover a quality program at Timberline Camp! Students will enjoy our wilderness classroom! The classes and activities of the Outdoor Learning Center are conducted throughout Timberline's 170 acres. The beautiful pines and hardwoods capture the imagination and wonder of each boy and girl! Look closely into the eyes of your students and try to capture their excitement as they participate in any of the more than 30 classes and activities! How about participating with your students in the recreation activities and classes? Shoot a round of archery or go climb a rock wall. Learn to paddle a canoe and see if you are as coordinated as your kids. A discovery hike either in the light of day or the dark of the night is always a favorite. You and your students can discover life in living color as never experienced on the pages of your classroom textbooks.
